You’re unique and laidback



You’re neither skinny nor really fat


Your thoughts are weird yet really funny


And you’re always very cunning


Every time that we chat


You always seem to make me laugh


With what you do and what you say


You always seem to make my day


Feel much better when I was sad


Or scared or worried or even mad


You talk to me and then you listen


You don’t judge me because I’m Asian

Once upon a starry night

When the moon is nice and bright

The smell of roses drift around

I gap as you get down on one knee

I see the person I've always dreamed of

The person who cares

Who will listen to my struggles

Who will understand what I'm trying to say

Who will love me for who I am

Not for the advantages

Not for anything else but for me

My fears, disappointment, and despair disappear

My day suddenly becomes a brighter day

All of the bad, the horrible, and the sadness

Washes away from my soul the instant I see you smile

You smile a smile for me

I feel content, better, and just maybe, I feel happy

I know that I am protected

By everything directed to me

No one dares to touch me
