You’re unique and laidback
You’re neither skinny nor really fat
Your thoughts are weird yet really funny
And you’re always very cunning
Every time that we chat
You always seem to make me laugh
With what you do and what you say
You always seem to make my day
Feel much better when I was sad
Or scared or worried or even mad
You talk to me and then you listen
You don’t judge me because I’m Asian
My thoughts are always about you
All guys are dirt but there are few
Who have feelings and who truly care
But that chance is really rare
You are that guy I really want
Even if everyone taunts
Me for my choice for you
But I know my feelings are true
You are understanding and kind
I want you to be mine
Here, you can find some of my poems that I tend to write on my free time. My real name is Amy. DawningEmyrald is just a unique title I really like.
about me
- DawningEmyrald
- Hello Viewers! I thank you for visiting my page. I hope you will find it interesting. As for about me and in case you have not noticed, I write poems. Before, I used to think that poems had to rhyme or have a certain rhyme scheme, but I was wrong. Not all of the poems that you find on this page will be rhyming. They're just basically free writing. I write like how I talk. I just say it. These poems either describe something in my life or in the life of someone close to me. It's not accurate, but it describes how they feel. I hope that you feel the same way and they have helped you in some way. Please don't plaigerize any of my work for it is something I do when I have a new feeling. I would also like to say that the pictures are not mines. So I have no credit or copyright over them.

Addiction (Poem #32)
It’s pulling me in
This powerful force coming from you
I can’t control myself
I want more
You pull me towards your solid body
As you look down into my eyes
Once your lips touch mines
I cannot pull away
I am yours
You control me with just a single kiss
The urge is great

Drugs
You are my drug
That I can’t get enough of
I don’t care what others think
Or how unhealthy you are for me
All I know is that
When I can’t have you
It’s complete agony
I cannot think
I cannot see
I cannot live
You have the key to the locks upon my heart
You are the love of my life
I have to have you
You are my addiction
This powerful force coming from you
I can’t control myself
I want more
You pull me towards your solid body
As you look down into my eyes
Once your lips touch mines
I cannot pull away
I am yours
You control me with just a single kiss

C-R-U-S-H (Poem #27)
Can’t wait to see you every day
Ready to see you in my dreams
Under pressure when you’re around
Sorrows wash away so quickly
Hard to watch you with someone else
Ready to see you in my dreams
Under pressure when you’re around
Sorrows wash away so quickly
Hard to watch you with someone else
Another Crush (Poem #26)
Here you come and there you go
Your beautiful smile
Your laugh
This feeling within my heart
Envies all the ones who
Can laugh with you at your side
Every night, I await the moment
In which I can see you
I can’t stand it
It’s killing me just to see you smile
To hear your laugh
To hear your voice
Suddenly, I find out that
You found someone else
My heart explodes from disappointment
Just knowing that
Someone else gets to hold your hand
Kiss your lips
Make you smile
As I wait in the shadows of darkness
For the moment when someone rescues me
Until then, you’re just
Another crush
Your beautiful smile
Your laugh
This feeling within my heart
Envies all the ones who
Can laugh with you at your side
Every night, I await the moment
In which I can see you
I can’t stand it
It’s killing me just to see you smile
To hear your laugh
To hear your voice
Suddenly, I find out that
You found someone else
My heart explodes from disappointment
Just knowing that
Someone else gets to hold your hand
Kiss your lips
Make you smile
As I wait in the shadows of darkness
For the moment when someone rescues me
Until then, you’re just
Another crush

Just For You (Poem #24)
Dear Readers,
Thank you for opening this poem. I personally wrote this poem for a dear close friend of mines. He lost his mother in a car wreck and he's completely devastated by the blow. I wouldn't say it makes sense, but it made him happy. I was glad of that, so I decided to post it on here. Enjoy!
I don’t like her
In fact, I hate her
I want you back
Please, come back
Come back and hold me
Hug me, kiss me
I want it to be like before
When we used to smile
And laugh over little things
We were happy before
Why did you have to leave?
Where are you?
What’s happening?
Why am I like this?
Are you disappointed in me?
I’m sorry
I don’t hate her
She’s just not you
She’s trying to replace you
Come back
She’s not you
I want you back
I’m crying
Can you see it?
I can’t help it
Maybe…I want to like her
Just maybe, but
Dad’s acting so different
Does he still love you?
Can you tell?
Are you sad of his decision?
I have so many questions
Please come back
Answer my questions
Tell me…somehow
I want to know
It’s ripping me apart
Can I imagine what you would say?
“You must struggle on, honey. I may not seem to be there, but I will always be within your hearts. So wipe your tears away, my lil buddy, and smile. Smile brightly, so I may see it all the way in heaven. You have suffered through a lot. I’m sorry I had to leave. God needed me for a reason I still don’t know, but it happened for a reason. You must be strong, my son. I promise you that you will see me again one day, but until then, smile.”
Is this what you want to say?
If it is, then I will smile
Just for you…

Happy Father's Day (Poem #23)
Today is a very special day
For all of the fathers
In this world
It was a great idea
To creat a day like this
Because fathers are just as
Important as mothers
They're always supporting
And working to raise their family
They suffer through all the hardships
For the happiness of his child or children
And so, your child would like to say
Thank you, I love you, and Happy Father's Day
Happy Mother's Day (Poem #22)
I'm really glad that
This world created
A day for every mother
Who brought life to
A special child
Or maybe, even children
Without mothers,
This world might as well
Fall apart under our feet
Because without moms,
Who will care for you when you're young?
Who will clothe you?
Who will kiss you goodnight?
Who will put a bandage on your booboo?
So that special child
That you brought into this life
Wants to tell you
That she (or he) loves you
Very, very much
And on this day
She (or he) wants to say
Happy Mother's Day
Girlfriend (Poem #20)
Gentle
Irresistible
Respectful
Loving
Friendly
Relaxed
Impeccable
Enjoyable
Neutral
Dependable
Father (Poem #19)
All of your regrets
Tender towards you
Helps regain what you lose
Encounters the shame
Realizes your pain
Mother (Poem #18)
Oncoming pain, she tears apart
Trying to be there when you ask
Hardships, she helps you pass
Every odyssey life puts you through
Remember, mothers are there for you
Friendship (Poem #17)
Rescued you from all of the bad
Intentions in which you have crossed
Entering your life when you were loss
Never making you shed a tearDestroying all in which you fear
Selfless when you need to cry
Hindering you when you want to die
Isolate you from all who oppose
Perfect in your life in which you chose
I Believe In You (Poem #14)
I sit and watch you
You're struggling
You're falling
You're frowning
You've come to a point
Where you want to give up
But please
Don't
Don't give up
When you've come so far
Just think about
Why you held on for so long
Why you kept going
You just don't know?
You don't care?
No
That's not true
You don't know
Because you're confused
Don't worry
Don't give up hope
Because you must have
A reason for holding on
Just know that
I believe in you
Little by Little, You Can Make It (Poem #13)
You've lost someone important to you
You're heartbroken
You're alone
You're friends despise you
You have no one
But these things...
They're just your imagination
What you need is a strong heart
You've lost someone, but
Would they want you to be sad because of them?
Would they want to see you cry?
You're heartbroken, but
Did you really fall for the right person?
Were they worth it?
You're alone, but
You're completely surrounded
Just open your eyes
You're friends despise you, but
Are you sure they're not feeling the same way you do?
Or are they really your true friends?
You have no one, but
That's never true
There's one person who will always care
Maybe the things you're stressing about
They're not worth it
Maybe you're falling for the wrong person
If they were the right one, they would've never hurt you
Maybe you're choosing the wrong friends
True friends come into your life, and they never leave
Just sit
Relax
Close your eyes
Think of a happy place
Somewhere in your dreams
Because little by little,
You can make it
You're heartbroken
You're alone
You're friends despise you
You have no one
But these things...
They're just your imagination
What you need is a strong heart
You've lost someone, but
Would they want you to be sad because of them?
Would they want to see you cry?
You're heartbroken, but
Did you really fall for the right person?
Were they worth it?
You're alone, but
You're completely surrounded
Just open your eyes
You're friends despise you, but
Are you sure they're not feeling the same way you do?
Or are they really your true friends?

True friends come into your life, and they never leave

Thank You, Dad (Poem #11)
Dad,
You've shown me the right
And the wrong ways of life
You've worked hard
To give me a life
You never had
When I am hurt,
You are there for me to lean on
You're always forgiving me
Even when I disappoint you
You give me chances
That I don't deserve
You continue to show me
How much you love me
But I never got the chance
To show how much
I love you
I was immature and selfish
And young
It's different now
I've changed
So I just want to say right now
Thank you, Dad
Thank you, Mom (Poem #10)
Mom,
You've always been there for me
You brought me into this magnificent world
You've given me life
Every time I need help
You're always there for me
You guided me through life
You protected me
From all the harmful things
This world has to offer
I'm sorry for everything I did
To make you disappointed in me
You've been there with me
Ever since birth
Every birthday, you manage to get me something
Yet, I never got a chance
To show you how much
I really love you
I was young then
I'm older now
So I want to take this moment
Just to say
Thank you, Mom
You've always been there for me
You brought me into this magnificent world
You've given me life
Every time I need help
You're always there for me
You guided me through life
You protected me
From all the harmful things
This world has to offer
I'm sorry for everything I did
To make you disappointed in me
You've been there with me
Ever since birth
Every birthday, you manage to get me something
Yet, I never got a chance
To show you how much
I really love you
I was young then
I'm older now
So I want to take this moment
Just to say
Thank you, Mom
Please...Hear What I'm Not Saying
Dear Readers,
I did not write this. I found it in the book, 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens, at school. I really liked it, but I do not take credit for this at all.
Don't be fooled by me. Don't be fooled by the mask I wear. For I wear a mask, I wear a thousand masks, masks that I'm afraid to take off, and none of them is me. Pretending is an art that is second nature with me, but don't be fooled.
...I give the impression that I'm secure, that all is sunny and unruffled with me within as well as without; that confidence is my name and coolness is my game; that the waters are calm and that I'm in command and I need no one. But don't believe it; please don't.
I idly chatter with you in the suave tones of surface talk. I tell you everything that is really nothing, nothing of what's crying within me. So when I'm going through my routine, don't be fooled by what I'm saying. Please listen carefully and try to hear what I'm not saying; what I'd like to be able to say; what, for survival, I need to say but I can't say. I dislike the hiding. Honestly, I do. I dislike the superficial phony games I'm playing.
I'd really like to be genuine, spontaneous, and me; but you have to help me. You have to help me by holding out your hand, even when that's the last thing I seem to want or need. Each time you are kind and gentle and encouraging, each time you try to understand because you really care, my heart begins to grow wings. Very small wings. Very feeble wings. But wings. With your sensitivity and sympathy and your power of understanding, I can make it. You can breathe life into me. It will not be easy for you. A long conviction of worthlessness builds strong walls, but love is stronger than strong walls, and therein lies my hope. Please try to beat down those walls with firm hands, but with gentle hands, for a child is very sensitive, and I am a child.
Who am I, you may wonder. For every man, for every woman, every child...every human you meet.

The Pain of Losing You (Poem #7)
This pain
This horrible, horrible pain
Is tearing me apart
One by one
Every piece of me is disappearing
Yet
The memories of you drift through my mind
As the tears slowly fall from my face
I can't figure it out
Why I'm hurting so much
As I watch you walk away
Walk away from my arms
Away from my life
From me
I never saw you after that day
Your smile
Your voice
Your kind touch
It's all gone
And I'm stuck here with this pain
What is it?
Why am I hurting so much?
Then, it hit me
After so long
After all that suffering
I finally know
That the pain from the past was
The pain of losing you
Wedding Proposal (Poem #6)
Once upon a starry night
When the moon is nice and bright
The smell of roses drift around
There isn't even a single sound
As we remember the day we met
Running around when the grounds are wet
A smile shining upon your face
Making mischief without a trace
And here we are once again
A dozen moments, two plus ten
I wear the dress you really like
And the moment feels just right
I gap as you get down on one knee
You look into my eyes, and then you plea
With words I never thought I'd hear
You end the phrase with, "My dear"
Tears start to fall from my eyes
As I stare into the skies
I see the both of us together
In horrible and in perfect weather
You hold my hands and kiss my lips
And hold and steady me when I trip
I cry and try to smile, yet
You say, "Marry me, you are my Juliet"

L-O-V-E (Poem #3)
Thank you for opening this poem. I hope you will enjoy this one. This poem is considered an acrostic. If you look at the first letters of each sentence, you will see that it spells a word. In this case, it is LOVE. Enjoy!
^__^
Amy
Leaves a lingering pain when gone
Offers a bright smile when around
Vanishes away suddenly
Enters and leaves your life without a sound
